10/3/2024, my foot was amputated
September 15, 2025
It’s been nearly a full year since my right foot was amputated. I had three surgeries in October of 2024. I stayed in the hospital for more than three weeks. Only a couple of people knew about my situation in and out, and they visited me on a daily basis. I didn’t tell my family, though. I just thought it was best that way.
I didn’t plan to keep it from everyone forever. In the middle of December, I created Rod-Autobiography.xyz to tell my story. Now, I’m launching Uncle-Rod.com to serve the same purpose of keeping in touch. When I made this “foot issue” page last year, I uploaded graphic images of my situation. I wanted people to know how severe it had become. Now, nearly a year later, the purpose has been served, and I’m more light-hearted. I’ve had a year to deal with this situation. My right foot is gone, but I have a prosthetic which helps me function pretty normally. I can even drive.
Below, I have buttons so you can see what was originally posted. Like I said, the images are gory. If you’re disturbed by this, please don’t click them. They will be gone this coming December. I’m going to let the original Rod-Autobiography site expire when it’s time to renew comes up. I’m going to focus my energy here at Uncle-Rod. As you can see, I’ve taken a liking to cartoon images, especially Simpsons and South Park styles. Have a good time, people! I’m doing okay!
